Four days and two goals, two assists, an extraordinary 7-3 win against Sevilla, and suddenly all is sweetness and light.
In
what was, significantly, his first start at the Bernabeu, Bale looked
to have arrived as a Real player at last – or, at least, to have begun
the process of establishing himself as a central figure in Carlo
Ancelotti’s so far faltering team.
After Sunday’s display at the Nou Camp the critics had been harsh.
