Speculation has grown over the Spanish midfielder’s future after he was left out for two games by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho in the last few weeks.
Mata struggled to establish himself in Chelsea’s team at the start of the campaign as he battled for fitness, with Mourinho warning that he wanted him to adapt to his way of playing.
